Terms of Service

By using Jao ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service.

Acceptance

By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Jao. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.

User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• One person may not maintain more than one account, and free trial content may be claimed only once per device.

Purchases

• Some content is unlocked with a one-time purchase through Google Play. There are no subscriptions and no in-app currency.
• Google Play processes your payment. We store the order ID and purchase token to verify and restore your purchase; we do not store card details.
• Purchases are final unless a refund is required by law. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policies. If a purchase was not delivered to your account, contact legal@getjao.com.
• Unlocks apply to your account and cannot be transferred to another account.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you create (bingo cards, photos, notes, and activity posts). By posting content publicly, you grant Jao a non-exclusive license to display it within the app.

You agree not to post content that is:

• Illegal, harmful, or threatening
• Harassing, defamatory, or invasive of privacy
• Spam, misleading, or fraudulent
• Infringing on intellectual property rights

We may remove content that violates these rules. You can report content and block users from within the app.

Prohibited Conduct

• Attempting to access other users' accounts
• Reverse-engineering the app
• Using the app for any illegal purpose
• Abusing the referral or XP system
• Creating fake check-ins, spoofing your location, or defeating the one-claim-per-device trial limit

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Danger zone, or at https://getjao.com/delete.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Jao sends you to real-world places: we are not responsible for your physical safety while playing — always be aware of your surroundings, obey local laws, and do not trespass on private property.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jao shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app.

Changes

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The current version is always at https://getjao.com/terms.
